Swag for the Homeless, Oscars take 2

A "simply marvelous" way for Hollywood to celebrate the industry's accomplishments would be to donate and auction those Oscar award swag bags to help rebuild homes in the devastated city of New Orleans. Oscar gift bag donations to New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity would allow at least 1 home to be built for the value of a gift bag.

Just a thought. Not a funny one, but maybe the right one.

For several days, popular media folk have been gushing and drooling over the "bling" found in the Oscar award gift bags. It seems to me what a marvelous way for Hollywood to celebrate Mardi Gras. Why not donate and auction those bags to help rebuild homes in the devastated city of New Orleans ?
